Per molti studiosi europei, Régine Robin è stata l’allieva dell’École Normale Supérieure e la docente di Paris X sparita dal Vecchio Mondo dopo avere innovato gli studi sul feudalesimo nell’età moderna con contributi quali Fief et seigneurie dans le droit et l’idéologie juridique à la fin du XVIIIe siècle (”Annales historiques de la Révolution française”, 43, 1971, pp. 554-592), e La Société française en 1789: Semur-en-Auxois (Paris, Plon, 1970).
