Il panorama politico italiano che precedette la Prima guerra mondiale fu senza dubbio un momento tumultuoso della storia istituzionale del nostro Paese. Questo saggio illustra come il nazionalismo seppe monopolizzare lo scenario politico,radicalizzando il principio di nazionalità e deformando le eredità ottocentesche dei vari irredentismi italiani nei territori austro italiani.
